Christmas lights all around Panama City

In Panama City and the countryside, you will see Christmas lights all around the main roads and parks. We highly recommend you visit Parque Omar at night in the month of December to experience Panama's Christmas vibe. Also, Avenida Balboa and Parque Urraca are recommended for an evening stroll to see the Christmas lights.

Christmas at Parque Omar

Located in the heart of Panama City you can find Parque Omar. It has a 3,9KM running trail, a play area for kids, a dog park, and many green fields perfect for a picnic, yoga, or playing some sports. However, in December the park transforms into a Christmas highlight. The entire park is decorated with lights, there are different activities and performances throughout the weekends all to celebrate the Christmas month. If you plan to visit Parque Omar at night, make sure to come by Uber if possible, since it's hard to find a parking spot inside the park.

Christmas at Parque Urraca

Parque Urraca is located on Avenida Balboa. The Christmas lights transform the park into a Christmas highlight. The park has a stage where different groups perform dance and music during the weekends.

Panama City's yearly Christmas Parade

Every year a Christmas Parade takes place on the Cinta Costera (Avenida Balboa). If you live or stay on Avenida Balboa you are lucky and can watch the parade from your balcony. The traditional Christmas parade will occur on December 11, on the Cinta Costera, from 4:00 PM onwards. The Panama mayor shared that the parade's purpose is to "give the children of our country faith, hope, and love".

Buying a Christmas Tree in Panama

If you want to buy a real Christmas tree in Panama City we recommend you to visit Casa de Jamon in Costa del Este. Every year they import Christmas trees from Canada. Last week the trees arrived!
